Liquid-phase Sintered Boron Carbide
In order to improve the performance of boron carbide ceramic products and overcome the weaknesses of low ceramic toughness, we have developed liquid-phase sintered boron carbide ceramics. Sintering aids are used in during sintering process to form liquid phase and promote rapid completion of the sintering process so as to obtain sintered bodies with theoretical density. As the high temperature liquid phase at room temperature has formed a second-phase texture that material high toughness and is suitabl  

e conditions requiring certain impact load. However, due to the additives, its hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance are less than that of pressureless sintered products. Performance characteristics: high hardness (> HV2500), high strength (> 430MPa), good toughness, having certain resistance to shock. Suitable for: lightweight equipments requiring wear resistance and resistance to shock such as bulletproof armor panel, gasket rings of machines, blast nozzles etc.
